This is the second buffet to open in this location in the past year. I never went to the previous place (Hawaiian Gourmet I believe it was called) but one would have to think if one all you can eat buffet has failed in the same spot, the next would have to step it's game up to be a success. In short, this place did not do that. Overall this is really a 2.5 star rating. Basically because I wasn't really "unhappy" about anything, I just wasn't really "happy" about anything either. I went here for lunch with a couple co-workers just cause ti was convenient to Ft. Bragg. That is the best thing I can say about this place, right out the Knox gate, and since ti is a buffet you can get your lunch quick and then have no rush no worries to get back to work or afternoon formation. The food wasn't bad. They have basically what you expect on a Chinese buffet, plus they do some basic sushi, and a basic Mongolian BBQ. All in all it seems like a good deal for your money (I forget the exact price, but I wanna say ten bucks and about what you'd pay at any Chinese buffet). The thing is nothing was really very good either. I am not one who is opposed to buffets at all (I know some people don't care for 'em). I love buffets if they're really good. But giving me "bottomless" mediocre food does not make up for the fact that it is mediocre food. I would rather take my money and get one serving of something I really enjoy. I can't say what was "wrong" with the food per se, other than just that it seemed a step below Chinese buffets I have really enjoyed other places (though I'll note I don't know of any good ones in the Fayetteville area). All in all I do not plan to go again. However, if a friend or co-worker or something just wanted to go there to get a quick lunch cause it's convenient, I'd probably go since nothing was "wrong" I just wasn't overly impressed by anything.
